Protest against Re-opening of Dance Bar

The Supreme Court’s verdict on dance bars has evoked a mixed reaction by the people. While the dance bar owners and enthusiast of dance bar have welcomed the verdict but the housewives and the society, in general, has opposed to the opening of dance bar! Recently in Mumbai Jamaat –E- Islami Hind and Dance Bar Virodhi Manch came together to condemn the Supreme Court’s verdict on dance bars.



Jamaat –E- Islami Hind and Dance Baar Virodhi Manch invited a Press Conference, on Monday 21st January 2019 at Marathi Patrakaar Bhavan CST Mumbai to highlight the annoyance and the hazards of dance bar upon the civilized society.

Speaking on the topic Mr Aslam Gazi Secratary, APCR, said that dance bar is an evil that is responsible for ruining numerous houses in the country. Several housewives across India are frustrated as their husbands burn their hard-earned income on ladies and alcohol. Many people get addicted to this and lose on a lot of money. It has broken many families too in the past. Hence it’s important that dance bars must be banned.



Amol Madale, President of Dane Bar Virodhi Munch in his speech condemning dance bar said the culture of dance bar is against the culture and morals of our country. Dance bars promote obscenity and force innocent girls into a crime world. Hence we urge the Modi government to ban dance bars permanently and seek a new avenue for the dance bar girls and bring them out form the dirty profession. The present Maharashtra Government failed to represent case in Supreme court.

Sayed Aziz Moinuddin Gazi in-charge Maharashtra, Jamaat –E- Islami Hind and Fareed Shaikh Aman committee president too spoke against dance bar. They said dance bar has caused havoc in several places in Maharashtra. Many families have been broken as the husbands went bankrupt after becoming addictive to dance bar and showering thousands of rupees on dance bar girls. Many women took divorces while many ended life committing suicide. Some even died due to AIDs diseases. Hence they pledged not to allow dance bars again and ruin people and their families. Mrs Warsha Vilaas urged to Modi Government ,why no  job scheme for these Bar Dancers, present Maharashtra Government failed to represent the case in Supreme Court.
