HDFC Bank Executive Missing Mystery Solved; Murdered For a sum of Rs 30,000/-
The Mumbai Police after 5 days of intensive investigation has finally solved the mysterious missing case of South Mumbai man Siddharth Sanghavi, who was employed as HDFC bank executive and went missing on September 5, from his office premises in Mumbai.
Abhinash Kumar, DCP Zone 3 addressing the media informed, “We have recovered the dead body of Siddharth Sanghavi from Kalyan. Along with the dead body we have also nabbed the accused Sarfaraz Shaikh, who brutally killed Sanghavi for mere Rs 30,000/-”
Giving details about the crime, Abhinash Kumar said, “The motive behind the murder was actually robbery. The accused Sarfaraj Shaikh was working as a cab driver and needed money to clear his loans. Hence when Sanghavi left office, Shaikh demanded Rs 30,000/- from Sanghvi at knifepoint in the premises of Kamala Mills parking lot but Sanghavi resisted and in the scuffle Sheikh in anger stabbed Sanghvi. He slit his throat and brutally killed him.”
Kumar added, “Later Shaikh stuffed the dead body in the dickey of Maruti Ignis, the car of dead Sanghavi and drove the car into the jungles of Haji Malang hills in Kalyan. There Shaikh dumped the dead body off and returned home. The Mumbai police found the car near Shaikh’s resident.
On September 8, Shaikh called Sanghavi’s father and demanded a ransom but the intelligent Mumbai traced Shaikh’s hideout from his call details and took him into custody. During interrogation, Shaikh spilled the beans and confessed to his crime and gave details of modus operandi.
Shaikh was produced in Mumbai court on Monday which granted him police custody. Shaik has been booked under IPC sections 364, 365 and 302 of the IPC.
