On 23rd February around 4.30pm, a small girl named Sirin Fatima of 2.5 years was kidnapped from A-G Link road Tilak nagar. The saki naka police quickly responded and immediately began to scan the CCTV footage of the all places in and around that area. It became clear that she was picked up by a an alcoholic named Sandeep Shashikant Parab of age 28 years residing at Tilak Nagar.
While the process of registering the offence was going on a team of 20 officers and 30 constables including Sr. PI Avinash Dharmadhkari along with PI Mane, PSI Hule, More,Wadare, Waghmare, Bhakekar along with the help of local community started searching for the accused and the victim in and around the area. A search of the accused’s house didn’t yield any results. After a prolonged search the accused was arrested from the Tilak nagar area. The people gathered there tried to assault him but the timely intervention of the cops could save him and he was arrested. After a sustained enquiry the small girl was also traced.
Kudos to the team of Saki naka police for tracing the girl within a matter of few hours and saving her from the clutches of the kidnapper. The happiness in the father’s eye was no match for all the efforts and hardships which the cops went through to get her back in such a short time.
