Kolhi Women organize Seafood Festival to collect money on International women’s day :
The Kolhi Community women celebrated International Women’s Day in a unique style by organizing the mouthwatering and delicious Seafood festival.
It may be noted the Kolhi community residing since centuries in Versova are today in crises and fighting for their rights. A huge 5-acre land that belongs to the Kolhi community has been forcibly captured by a corrupt builder. The Kolhi ladies are collectively fighting against the builder but tragically they have no money. Hence in order to collect money, they decided to organize a Sea Food Festival to mobilize funds for their battle against the builder.
Interestingly Mumbaikar gave the Sea Food Festival a good response and extended support to the Kolhi community, who are actually the original inhabitant of Mumbai but alas land-hungry builder are chasing the Kolhi community out of Mumbai by grabbing their land illegally.
