Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation launched Maharashtra Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in Solapur.

Mumbai, 5th January 2017: Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) launched Maharashtra Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in Solapur district, approved by Ministry of India Tourism in collaboration with Central Government and State Government.

The Maharashtra Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, Shri. Jaykumar Jitendrasinh Rawal on 05thJanuary 2017. The other dignitaries present were Shri Subhash Deshmukh, Minister of Cooperation, Marketing and Textile Government of Maharashtra and Shri Vijay Deshmukh State Minister Public Health, Transport, Labour and Excise, Government of Maharashtra.

This initiative by MTDC into hotel and catering industry will hold a promising future for career seekers in tourism industry. A number of factors like promotion of tourism and rapid industrial progress will give boost to hotel catering and hotel management institute in Solapur, Maharashtra.

The diversity of experience in Hotel Management & Tourism is greater than in any other profession. Against this encouraging growth scenario, the Maharashtra Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology aims to offer a professional edge for aspirants, who want to enter managerial posts in this field in Solapur, Maharashtra.                   

Solapur district will soon be announced as the spiritual destination place and will have a tourist circuit available for all. Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation will soon implement on building an information center near the Siddheswar temple which will provide appropriate information to the tourists.

Jaykumar Jitendrasinh Rawal statedThe Hospitality & Tourism industry in Maharashtra is expected to grow at a rapid pace between now & 2025. Maharashtra Institute of Hotel management and Catering Technology will be a prime institute in the field of hospitality education in Solapur. This decision to foray into hospitality education comes with the intention of bridging the demand supply gap created within the food service sector,

particularly the restaurant and fast food business outlets, which lack skilled manpower. MTDC intends to provide food services in clean and hygienic environments, mainly in the interiors of Maharashtra. The institute will try to address these critical issues by training students in the Maharashtra Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Maharashtra Institute of Hotel Management and Catering will also have tourism MTDC branch for tourist, also the tourism department is working on constructing a textile museum which will offer the new generation a glimpse of the bygone era. We also plan to build a resort for tourist in Pandharpur, Solapur district which will be well operational for the tourist soon. ”.
