Kerala Nun Rape Controversy Thickens!
The controversy about a Kerala nun allegedly accusing Bishop Franco Mulakkal of raping her 13 times has sparked a row! After MLA PC George mocked her claims as fictitious now the Missionaries of Jesus of Jalandhar too have declined the nun’s allegation of rape against Bishop Franco Mulakkal as fabricated story!!
According to reports Roman Catholic Bishop of Jalandhar Franco Mulakkal has been accused of repeatedly raping a Kerala nun, who kept quiet initially but after being raped 13 the time she raised her voice and lodged a complaint. Interestingly Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kottayam, K Subhash confirmed the High Court about finding sufficient evidence against Bishop yet no arrest or action has been taken against Bishop Franco Mulakkal.
The victim in her complaint lodged with Kottayam district police informed about her gruesome ordeal at St Francis Mission Home in Kuravilangad in Kottayam. She narrated how the accused Bishop Mulakkal raped her brutally and even had unnatural sex with her multiple times between 2014 and 2016.
Initially 5 nuns from Kottayam Convent from where the nun hailed and the Catholic Community staged demonstration and demanded action against Bishop Franco Mulakkal for his heinous act however after Kerala MLA PC George raised eyebrows against the nun and called her a prostitute the scenario has turned tide and now even the Missionaries of Jesus of Jalandhar has discarded the nun’s allegations against the Bishop as fake tale.
It may be noted that just 2 days back Kerala MLA PC George suspected the nun’s allegations as fake and challenged the ‘Character’ of the nun question why didn’t she protested the first time when she was raped.
MLA PC George in an interview to a TV channel said, “Why was she silent when she was raped 12 times? Was she having fun then? Why did she made a hue and cry only after being raped the 13th time?? This proves there is something suspicious?” George also raised an important issue that if the nun lost her virginity then she should have discarded her sacred nun uniform long back.
Soon after George’s attack, Missionaries of Jesus of Jalandhar too declined the claims of the nun as unfounded and accused the nun of defaming sacred position of the Bishop by fabricating an evil plot against him. The Church said the nun kept altering her statement. First, she told that she informed the church seniors about her physical harassment but later withdrew her stance.
Giving a clean chit to the Bishop the Missionaries of Jesus declined to accept the Bishop raped the nun and told she was framing the Bishop for her selfish goal.
