It comes as a big blow to the legal fraternity on the passing away of renowned criminal lawyer Shrikant Shivade at the age of 67. His end came at a private hospital in Pune on Wednesday due to prolonged illness.

The Criminal Lawyer was diagnosed with leukaemia (blood cancer).

A law graduate from the Indian Law Society, Shivade even represented actor Shiney Ahuja, who was booked in a rape case in 2009 in his career.

He had also appeared for Peter Mukerjea in the Sheena Bora murder case and represented diamond merchant Bharat Shah.
