with the mansoon less than one week away the BMC have been very much alert regarding the the issue of cess and dilapted buildings in the “E ” ward particularly in kamathipura which is severely affected by the dilapted building.
on Saturday the BMC officials Mr. sunil Navghare (Assistant Engineer) along with Satish Malekar (Assistant Engineer) and Mahada deputy engineer (E2) Jayesh Ghadi have done the survey successfully and idenfied 17 dilapted buildings in the kamathipura vicinity.
speaking with Hello Mumbai Mr. Satish Malekar said,  ” These cess property under comes Mahada there is no sense to repair these 80 and 90 years old structure it should be pull down in the name of repairing of these cess buildings Mahada officials make huge money from the repair fund and in this work contractor mafia also involves .how you can decide the structural stability of 80 years old buildings after the repair work its just a racket in the name of repair work of cess building run by  corrupt Mahada official and contractor in the name of repair work Mahada official allow them to construct the unauthorised work we have the live example of kamathipura 14 lane in our estate ward” , said Sathish Malekar.Â
” basically all these cess properties be logs to Mahada but they don’t care they only engaged in the repair work after this joint survey we will make the structural audit report and we will intimate the Mahada. As if know we have identified almost 17 dilapted buildings which under comes dangerous category in the kamathipura area the mahada will make the report on this survey ,” said Sunil Navghare.Â
Mr.Jayesh Ghadi deputy engineer of (E2) was also the part of the team of this joint survey told they have inspected the entire are they will make the report and very soon will start the further process.
