Even as the traffic police notified six alternate routes, only two are closest for motorists travelling from the east to the west. A journey that used to take 30 minutes now takes over 50 minutes and even more. Even after the BEST buses were re-routed, the chaotic situation continues.

Jogeshwari (west)

Ironically, Balasaheb Thackrey flyover Bridge in Jogeshwari and Mrunal tai Gore flyover Bridge in Goregaon are getting jam-packed and vehicles move at snail’s pace.

While speaking with Hello Mumbai News on this traffic chaos issue, Vishwanath Shetty says “my office is located near Andheri subway next to Railway station and because of this traffic chaos am unable to meet people and visit my office.

Its been four years and yet the work on the Gokhale Bridge remains incomplete. If the work is not completed soon people will continue to suffer indefinitely especially office goers. The Civic Body need to take the issue seriously and chalk out solutions.
