In yet another bust of sex racket
On a tip-off, the Andheri East Sakinaka Police raided Akvam Spa nestled near a picnic spot at Powai and arrested two women carrying on sexual activities with clients inside the spa during the massage sessions under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking act (PITA).
Notably, in the guise of Massage Parlours or Spa, prostitution is clandestinely operated by the Massage Parlours/Spa. This sex racket has emerged as a fast easy revenue making business. The operators are fearless of the long arms of law. Even as they are aware that it is illegal yet they carry on mindlessly and take up good money. The Covid-19 induced lockdown impacted their Spa business and to cover the losses thereof the Massage/Spa owners are into this clandestine business of prostitution.
