New Delhi: An Air-hostess of Jet Airways has been arrested by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) for allegedly trying to smuggle out USD 4,80,200 out of the country. The accused girl was intercepted by DRI officials when she was on a flight to Hong Kong on Monday. The DRI officials found USD 4,80,200 (approx Rs 3.21 crore) wrapped in foil in her possession Jet Airways’s female attendant Devashi Kulshresha, 25 who recently arrested by DRI Delhi Unit has sent to Jail Custody for two days with her Hawala Oprator boss Amit Malhotra. During interrogation, it came to light that the Arrest Air-hostess was working as a carrier of a major international Hawala syndicate and has carried foreign currencies many times for Delhi based Hawala Operator Amit Malhotra. She made eight trips to Hong Kong with illegal cash wrapped, she was paid Rs 1 lkh for each trip, investigation revealed.
Now DRI got more evidence of another crew member of the Jet Airways according to the DRI official in this case more arrest will be soon because it is a International racket.
