Congress state President pays tribute to the visionary, father of the Indian Constitution Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Chaityabhoomi

Mumbai, 14 April

Babasaheb Ambedkar’s constitution gave all the right to live with dignity. The Constitution protects the rights of the people and also provides for equal justice for all. The Bharatiya Janata Party government in the country is working to abolish the constitution by doing away with several constitutional institutions. To save democracy in this country, it is the responsibility of all of us to save the constitution given by Dr Babasaheb, said Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole.

On the occasion of the 131st birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Nana Patole visited Chaityabhoomi in Dadar to pay his tributes. Minister of School Education Varsha Gaikwad, Minister of State Dr. Vishwajit Kadam, Mumbai Congress President Bhai Jagtap, former Minister and State Working President Chandrakant Handore, State Vice President Hussain Dalwai, State General Secretary Devanand Pawar, Pramod More, Rajan Bhosale, Rajesh Sharma, Munaf Hakeem, J.J Thomas, Prakash Sonawane, former MLA Subhash Chavan, spokesperson Suresh Chandra Rajhans, NSUI’s Sandeep Pandey and other office bearers were also present.

Speaking to the media, Nana Patole said that some parties and organizations are working to disturb the social environment by spreading caste and communal hatred. This country is run based on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s constitution, but the current Modi government is against the constitution and is running the government arbitrarily. Under the BJP government, democratic principles and the constitution of the country are in danger today and it is the duty of each one of us to save it.

State President Nana Patole also paid his tributes to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at the Congress office in Tilak Bhavan. Greeting the citizens on Ambedkar Jayanti, the Congress state president appealed to them to celebrate this day as a festival all over the country.
