The Enforcement Agency Team in association with S.S Branch received information on January 5 of a wanted accused running an illegal Orchestra Bar (Dance Bar) in Chembur.
Relying on the information
ACP Chandrakant Jadhav Enforcement, CB, Mumbai accompanied by Assistant Police Inspector Balasaheb Kanawade and conducted raid at Devi Kripa Restaurant and Orchestra Bar at Punjabi Chawl No 1, Pestom Nagar, P L Lokhande Marg, Chembur, Mumbai 6 January, 2023 at 00:40 hrs.
During the raid, the Police found
27 accused and took them into Custody at Tilak Nagar Police Station and rescued 7 Girls.
An offence under CR No.13/23, u/s 188, 34 IPC r/w 3, 8(1),(2), (4) Prohibition of Obscene Dancing in Hotels, Restaurants and Bar rooms and Protection of the dignity of the Women (working in them) act 2016 was registered against all the accused.
The Police seized Rs.19,800/- cash,1-laptop (Rs-25,000),
1 speaker (Rs-4000),
1 Amplifier (Rs-25,000),
1 cable(500) and 1 Memory Card. Total Seizure was valued at Rs.74, 300.
Further investigation is handed over to the concerned Police Station.
Earlier the Enforcement Agency in association with Mumbai Police (Crime) had carried series of raids at Sharmili Restaurant and Orchestra Bar Rkc (Dance Clip) in Dahisar,
Sagar Restaurant & Orchestra Bar (Dance) Wadala, Samudra Restaurant and Bar, Orchestra Bar (Dance Clip) in Malad East.
Shivleela (Orchestra) Bar and Restaurant Andheri (w)Jayprit (Orchestra) Bar and Restaurent”, Tiger Hookah Parlour in Chembur, EPITOME Global Dining and Hooka Parlour in, Lower Parel, White House (Orchestra) Bar and Restaurant im Worli, Ghungroo (Orchestra) Bar and Restaurant in Ghatkopar and so forth.
Despite the raids in the above mentioned Orchestra Bars and accused arrested yet the shady business continues.
