In the wake of high excise bills taxes and Electricity bills, the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association, Maharashtra, have addressed a letter to the Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and
Dy. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis regarding the growing and burning issues of various taxes which is impacting the Hotel Industry viz Excise Dept
Food & Beverage Dept and Electricity Department..

The Hotel Industry has encountered immeasurable losses amid the Covid-19 induced lockdown restrictions and still have not even covered 10% losses and struggling.

We hope you will give a due consideration and resolve the Grave issues faced by the Hotel Industry.

On the other hand Vishwanath J.Shetty, Advisory Chairman of the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association, while speaking with Hello Mumbai News Editor-In-Chief Aleem Sheikh, opined that the inflation and high taxes and prices has placed the Hotel Industry to a
delirious situation.

In this connection we would be taking appointment with the Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis to express the woes of the Hotel Industry and felicitate them with a flower bouquet.
