MHADA has emerged as a den for blatant corruption with many illegalities surrounding it.
Despite actions being initiated to put an end to this, yet it continues unabatedly.
In a recent case, a Mumbai builder and architect have fallen into the long arms of law for their nefarious illegalities and corruption towards redevelopment of over Rs 10 crore FSI scam on a complaint filed by MNS leader Manish Dhuri. An FIR has been filed against them and they have been booked under section 420, 465, 467, 34 IPC. 154 Cr.PC of IPC Act for forgery and fake signatures of MHADA tenants for additional FSI for redevelopment and for cheating the agency with bogus consent documents.
In accordance to the FIR, Dharmesh Minawala of Pratham Varadvinayak LLP and Architect Ashok Rane had blatantly forged signatures of Dhuri and 22 other tenants of MHADA’s Azad Nagar, Shiv Sagar CHS (CTS No. 838) in Andheri’s Veera Desai Road.
The builder and architect were booked after MNS leader Manish Dhuri, whose signature was also forged, lodged a complaint against the accused duo.
Amobli Police was not available to comment on this.
