Based on a complaint filed by Mohammad Harim Iqbal Bopal, an apex Court has ordered BhopalĀ  Police to register an FIR against Land Rover Dealers Sanghi Brothers Indore Private Limited. The Court has also issued directives to make
Rohit Suri , Rajiv Gupta Jyotsana Sanghi,Deepak Tahorani and Ankur Thakoor as accused under sections 420,406,468,120 B of IPC.

Reportedly, the Court has already issued summons to all the accused, but, no arrest has been made as yet.

Brief history into the case:
On 14 February 2013, Hareem Iqbal had purchased Land Rover Discovery 4 from Sanghi Brothers Indore Private Limited. They were informed by Sanghi Brothers Indore Private Limited, that the warranty would be for 5 years/ 1 lakh KM whichever is earlier.

On 8 February, 2017 the vehicleā€™s engine was seized near Nagpur and it was sent to the Indore workshop of the car dealers at their own expense as no roadside assistance was provided.

Ironically, No courtesy car or rental was provided even after a written confirmation from the Land Rover Head Office.

The vehicle was ready on 8 September, 2017, after which the car dealers asked for the payment of Rs. 10.93 Lakhs. After that the Car Dealers resorted in increasing the bills for the same work. The last bill demanded was for Rs.38 lacs

In February 2018, Mohammed Hareem IqbalĀ  received a mail which stated that his vehicle warranty has lapsed on 29 February,2012 and received another mail in March 2018 in which stated that the warranty has lapsed on 29 February, 2015.

It is aptly evident from the mail that they have delivered us a defectively manufactured and an old used vehicle to the price of a new vehicle. They have kept custody his vehicle since 2017 and till date they have not shown us him the vehicle also.

Left with no option whatsoever,
Mohammed Hareem Iqbal
have moved a Bhopal Court in 2021. After his harrowing experience, he approached the Police to register a case against Land Rover dealers Sanghi Brothers Indore Private Limited. But, on 24 September, 2022, Bhopal court took cognizance in the case and registered a case against Land Rover Dealers Sanghi Brothers Indore Private and other Directors under sections 420, 406, 468, 120B,34. Notably, Summons was issued which the Defendants refused to accept for reasons best known to them.
