In a shocking incident which took place in Eastern Mumbai at kurla East, fisherman Santosh Halwai attacked by local goons and was robbed. Nehru Nagar police lodged Fir under section 324 and 392 of Ipc and arrested three accused in this connection but surprisingly police has also register cross Fir against the victim which upset Santosh Halwai, he approached ‘Hello Mumbai News’ and seeked help for justice. Our crime reporter Ashraf Khan took him to DCP Zone 6 Mr. Shahaji Umap and explained the entire incident. DCP was angry at Nehru Nagar staff and immediately passed the order for inquiry and reinvestigate the case.
Speaking with ‘Hello Mumbai News’ Santosh Halwai said. On 12 March at night he was going on Motorcycle with his son as he passed the thakkar baba area near Omkar Apartment suddenly local goons of the area Areef and Ismail came and started to beat him, they also snatched his gold chain, Mobile and 1.50 lakh of cash, they also threatened him with dire consequences if he approach the police, santosh got head injury and also on other parts of the body , he fell down unconscious, in a critical condition and was admitted in Rajawadi Hospital later in sion Hospital, but surprisingly when santosh was doing his medical treatment, Nehru Nagar police lodged cross Fir against him, which shocked him, how is it possible I am victim in the case,” He also alleged at Nehru Nagar police for safeguarding the accused one week passed police not recoverd the Gold chain and Mobile, Police lodged FIR again Arif, Ismail and two others. But no results have not yet come.
When ‘Hello Mumbai News’ contacted Sanjay kale senior Police inspector of Nehru Nagar police” they have changed the investigative officer of the case replace Shivaj Mohite, Mr kadam is investigating the case, truth will come out and will take legal action against the accused”. He said.
