Ghanchi Jamat President Ahmed Tinwala threatens Activist Zakir Hussain claiming ownership to Jamat Property

In a rather shocking incident Mr.Zakir one of the Community members of The Bhisti Mohalla Sunni Muslim Ghanchi Jamat was threatened and humiliated by the Bhisti Mohalla SunniMuslim Ghanchi  Jamat President Ahmed Tinwala on saturday.

As per sources, Mr .Zakir had sent a legal notice to Jamat to produce a 10 years balance sheet..Since there was no response from Jamat on saturday he visited Jamat office and asked for the President, but Mr .Ahmed Tinwala threatened him saying ” Tujhe Dekhlunga ( I will see you). You are not our membet this jamat property is my personal property.

While interacting with Hello Mumbai News , Mr .Zakir reiterated that being a member of Ghanchi Jamat, I was given to understand by reliable sources that corruption and malpractices were being carried out by the Present Committee. Following this incident, as a responsible member of my community, I sent an official letter to the Jamaat and asked for all the details related to Rent and other income and expenses, but ironically, they chose to remain silent and deemed not to react to my letter. On Saturday, once again Mr.Ahmed Timwala threatened me with dire consequences.

Mr .Zakir further alleged the Jamat Committe hasn’t been working properly for the community and that they are only misusing funds.I have sumbitted my letter to All authorities, Maharashtra Waqf Board, and Dongri Police Station as well.

It, is, therefore, my personal appeal to the higher authorities of charity to conduct an high level inquiry into this matter.

Yet another community activist, Mrs Zahida Musa was also upset with the functions of Bhisti Muslim Ghanchi Jamat Khana ,They never respond to anybody’s letter and are working like dictators and don’t seem to be bothered about the community issue. Its my simple question to them if they are genuine, and doing good work, why are they not giving the details in writing. This means something fishy and wrong going on in the Jamat Khana.

When Hello Mumbai asked Mr Ahmed Tinwala on all these allegations he blatantly refused to comment on it saying, this Jamat Khana is my own private property ,and with a threat asked us to vacate the premises immediately despite we being in a public road

Mr.Ahmed Tinwala also threatened Mr.Zakir in front of all “Tujhe To Mai Delkh loonga”.
