The Social Service branch of the Mumbai police on part of their crackdown on illegal Orchestra Bars, raided an orchestra bar in Borivli on 19 November at 1.10 hrs and arrested 20 people comprising one bar manager, one cashier, five stewards, one orchestra artist, twelve customers, one wanted licence holder and rescued eight girls.

The raid was carried out at
Hotel Nishant (Samar Park) Restaurant and Bar Harsha
CHS, Daulat Nagar, Road N0 3, Borivali East after a tip-off was verified that illegal activities, including obscene dances, were being carried out at the bar, with entry being restricted by the management to only known patrons.

The police seized Rs. 47,540 cash, one laptop, one speaker, one amplifier, and one memory card (for data).

As per Kasturba Police, twenty accused have been taken in Custody and offence under above section is being registered against them.

Further investigationis have been handed over to the concerned Police Station.
