Nashik Rural Police based on receipt of a confidential tip off raided and busted a rave party being celebrated at a private Villa in the Igatpuri hill station of Nashik district on Sunday

Total of 22 people comprised 10 men and 12 women, who were found under intoxication under the influence of drugs and hookah. Cocaine and other narcotics were seized during the raid. Some of the detainees were women who have acted in South and Bollywood films, some female choreographers, one of them being an Iranian National foreigner and a woman who has participated in a reality show Bigg Boss. Other staff at the Sky Taj Villa and Sky Lagoon Villa have also been arrested.

According to police officials some hi-fi men and women
were seen partying illegally and consuming alcohol and other intoxicants in total disregard to the pandemic guidelines in two private Villas- Sky Taj Villa and Sky Lagoon Villa in the Igatpuri area of Nashik.

Meanwhile an investigation team was immediately rushed to Mumbai to find out the source of the drugs brought to Igatpuri.

The Police also recovered a huge amount of narcotics substance and cash.

The Villas were raid by Police Squads under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Sachin Patil.

Further, based on the information received, a Nigerian national from Mumbai was taken into custody by the police squad for interrogation and brought to Igatpuri. A case has been registered in this regard at Igatpuri Police Thane and Nashik Rural District Superintendent of Police Shri. Sachin Patil, Additional Superintendent of Police, Nashik Rural, Smt.

Sharmishtha Walawalkar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Arjun Bhosale.
