IMD issues Green Alert to Mumbai Monsoon to withdraw from October first week



The India Meteorological Department has issued Green Alert to Mumbai and predicts generally cloudy sky with light rain for the next 48 hours. Owing to the weather conditions, the temperature will hover around 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

Last week, Mumbai witnessed continuous moderate showers along with intense spells due to a cyclonic circulation. Pune and the ghat areas were put on alert by the weather department. Mumbaikars faced traffic snarls as heavy rains lashed India’s financial capital.

On Monday, in Santacruz, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 26.6 and 23.3 degrees Celsius respectively. The city recorded a relative humidity of 96 per cent
