The International Memon Organization hosted a grand dinner for the Memon community in the UK and an award ceremony for memorizers (Hafiz e Quran) of the Quran e Paak in Leicester, UK – which received over whelming response from the community. This was the first IMO event in UK wherein Lord Mayor Councilor of Liecster Mr. George Call was present as Chief Guest, while IMO Secretary-General Mr. Tayyab Musani presided over the event, which was attended by several distinguished dignitaries including several Members of Parliament & Virtually Presents Mr. Abdulla Janoohasan Founder IMO & Saleem AA Kareem President IMO.
Several Team Members Hosted such a Remarkable event and added one more feather in IMO’s Memories.
Brother Mr. Imtiaz Suleiman Amiko delivered the welcome address and thanked all the participants for coming to the event. Mr. Tayyab Moosani highlighted the past, present and future services of IMO. He informed the participants about aims and objectives of IMO – Tayyab Moosani said that IMO is the largest Memon organization in the world with 1.2 million life members worldwide and is active in many countries. Tayyab Moosani Announced that IMO is going to organize InsaAllah, International Memon to Memon Business Conference and International Memon Expo next month in Nairobi Kenya. After that the special guest Lord Mayor of Leicester Mr. George Call addressed the event and said that I am very impressed with the gathering that was of almost 400 distinguished guests, so many ladies and gentlemen of the Memon community emphasized that the unique concept of welfare services of IMO either through self-help and/or sponsorship is commendable. After speech, the Mayor was presented a memorable book of IMO *”Memon’s Millennium”.* Then awards for Memorization of the Quran was distributed among Hafiz e Quran.
VIP guests were awarded a Shield as token of appreciation. Mr. Javed Akhtar thanked all the participants and sponsors of the event while Afzal Thekia conducted the event. Thereafter, the participants were complimented with the dinner of the event with traditional Memon dishesÛ”
