Notwithstanding Order passed bt the State School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad for reopen of Schools from Jan 24 for classes 1-12 , approved by the Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, ironically the Principal of Infant Jesus School in Malad (West) is reluctant to agree for Offline Classes and Physical attendance to School.
Looks unfavourable for operal online classes. Principal of the school Mrs.Cecilia Fernandes has issued a notice to parents of children in primary Class 1 asking them to send their children properly dressed with consent letter the primary students Class 1 to attend School from Monday 24 January.
But parents are in no mood to send their children to School
One parent on anonymity in fear of her children from being harassed sent the Notice issued by Infant Jesus School to Hello Mumbai News with a request to look into the matter as the School is re-opening tomorrow 24 January.
Meanwhile, as per Government GR Schools can operate from both online and offline, whereas other schools and colleges have adopted same method. As per a parent on anonymity over phone to Hello Mumbai News said, the Big question is why Infant Jesus School wishes to continue with offline and forcing students to attend School physically. They can very well give online option to students. Sadly, they are not following Goveremnet GR. She has also made humble request to the authority to look in to the matter ,said one of parent on the condion of anynomity to Hello Mumbai over phone.
Schools were shut in the first week of January amid the rise in Covid-19 cases and emergence of Omicron Variant
Key Highlights of GR:
Mumbai School reopening would commence from January 24, 2022, same as the state of Maharashtra.The guidelines for execution of smooth reopening have been released by BMC that everyone has to follow.Attendance is not mandatory and students willing to attend would need a written consent from parents.
