On Sunday 29 th April 2018 between 4 pm to 6 pm  part of Mahim beach was cleaned and several kilos of garbage was cleared from the shore.

Mahim Beach Committee Mr Anwar Khan and team and residents of Mahim have taken it upon themselves to come forward and keep their beaches clean. ‘Clean Up Mahim Beach,’ is an initiative started by the residents of Mahim.Residents living near the Mahim chowpatty have joined hands with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to clean the chowpatty.

MLA Mr Warris Pathan, Corporator Milind Vaidya, Mahim Makhdoom Shah Baba Dargah Trustee Mr Suhail khandwani, Mahim Madrassa Students, BMC Officer of Solid Waste Management Department Mr Tanaji Ghag, Beach Cleaning  Contractor Mr Sunil,NGO Groups like Jai ho foundation, Sahas Foundation,and residents of  Bandra , Dadar, Kurla, Muhammed Ali Road Participated in Mahim beach Cleaning. BMC officials have been helping residents with the equipment and cleanliness drive. It is an awareness drive by the residents.People from all age groups volunteered to clean the beach. Plastic bottles, clothes and other waste was picked by residents and disposed off carefully.
