Maulana Ajaz kashmiri assault case, JJ Marg police arrested accused Imran Akhtar Qureshi under section of IPC 752, 506 (part 2 ), 504, 323, 706 (part 2 , Police got one day police custody of the accused. On Tuesday accused applied for bail application but sewri court rejected his  bail application  now Imran is in Jail custody, Arthur Road Jail.

 
Brief History of the case :
Last week Maulana Ajaz kashmiri adressed to his followers in South Mumbai , but their speech hurt to same section of the community and some people  took  objection  on his  controversial  speech, one of the  hotelier  Imran Qureshi  made  angery and assaulted him  controversy sparked in South Mumbai after this incident and supporters of maulana demanded action against Imran .JJ  Marg police handled the situation very well and took legal action against the accused Imran who assaulted and insulted to Maulana Ajaz kashmiri.
