1: Could you introduce yourself for our readers?
A. Hello Everyone! This is Dr. Altamash Shaikh a Consultant Endocrinologist, Diabetologist and Metabolic Super specialist.
2: When and how did you get in to Medical Field.
A. Entered medical side MBBS in 1996 after entrance test. Then Medicine followed by hormone studies.
3: What inspires you to choose this field and where does your inspiration come from?
A. Joining this field come from an inspiration from early childhood as I saw myself always caring for fellow human.
4: What types of Difficulties and Challenges have you faced during your journey?
A. Journey had many challenges from food to stay to travel in different hostels and venues.
5: Which elements of your job do you most Enjoy.
A. The Best part is I love my work so I enjoy it as a passion and see patients with full compassion and empathy. I always keep my self in patients position and think when these I would be able to take this medical advise then only I give it accordingly.
6: What is your experience as a Doctor? How many cases / achievements in your portfolios.
A. However, with interest in teaching, it’s amazing feeling to teach medical students.
7: If you were not in this medical field what would do you think you would do professionally instead.
A. Never thought of other career
8: How do you Balance your professional life and personal life?
A. Work life balance is most vital for any profession including home makers.
9: What is your message on Doctors Day?
A. The best message is to take care of yourself with food, water, sleep, walk, and good relationships.
