Meet Kandivli Railway Station In-charge Shaikh Ashfaq Ahmed emerges in garb of “Farishte” from Heavens Returns lost bag to owner

    Most people are honest, will return your lost wallet even if it has lots of money and other valuable documents.
    Challenging popular perception that people are mostly dishonest, a
    Shaikh Ashfaq Ahmed SS/Kandivli Station in a conversation with Hello Mumbai News Correspondent Radhika Joshi shares his experience of returning the lost bag to its owner.

    He said,” A bag was left on the platform and was deposited by on duty Station staff in his room.
    Since I was in night duty at the Kandivli station I found a bag left in my room that contained
    3 chargers, 3 Aadhar Cards, 2 Debit Cards,1 Credit Card, PAN Card,1 ID Card. From his Aadhar Card I identified his name Shri Mahindra Mechanical Engineer and resident of Bhayandar who lost his bag in the train last night. From the given mobile number on the Aadhar Card
    Informed him of his left over bag in the compartment of the last train in the night. He came along with his sister at 6.45 am and collected the bag. As a gesture he thanked me and jotted down a letter of getting back his lost bag.

    In a tweet the Western Railway said – Station Supdt, Kandivli returned a bag of Mr. Mahindra Chaudhary by tracing him by his mobile no. mentioned on his Aadhar Card. It was found by railway staff.
    Shri Alok Kansal, General Manager, Western Railway has announced an award for him.

    Furthermore, Replying to @WesternRly @ RailMinIndia and 2 others he said – At night I felt that my bag is gone but Ashfaq sir came as “farishte” and made us realised what is true honesty and how human being should help each others specially in this tough times. Thank you so so much I will never ever forget, this is unrealistic in today’s world thank you

    Not only this but DRM – Mumbai Central, WR similarly recited, Station Master Kandivali hands over Bag containing valuables: Laptop,Charger,3 Debit & Credit Card, Adhar card, PAN card to its owner Shri Mahindra Chaudhri after tracing him through Aadhar card. The bag was left over on the platform and deposited by on duty Station staff.

    Apart from that was rewarded
    Cash Award of Rs 5000/-
    by DRM Group for the involved staff of the station. And GM has announced a cash award of Rs 3000/- for Shri Ashfaq Sheikh, SM, Kandivli for the ethical action of his staff.
