Mumbai Congress Committee paid rich tributes to Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the unifier of Modern India and Iron Man on the occasion of his 147th birth anniversary and 38th Death Anniversary of Indira Gandhi today.

Present on the occasion were Pramod Mandrekar, District President Mumbai South, Adv. Deepak Talwar, Senior Vice Chairman (Org & Ele), MPCC Legal, HR, RTI Dept Hukum Mehta -South Central, Dinanat Patkar, Adv Gauri Narvankar Dhabke, Shankar Shinde amongst others.

Sardar Vallabhai Patel was the ‘Iron Man of India’ who played a very significant role towards the country’s unification.

He was a man who fought during pre-independence against British rule and post-independence for a unified India.

Being commonly known as the ‘Iron Man of India,’ Sardar was a barrister, political leader, and statesman who served as the first Deputy Prime Minister of India and first Home Minister of India from 1947 to 1950. Indian National Congress and played a crucial role in India’s Independence with a vision of a unified India.
