Covid-19 and the emergence of the new Omicron Variant is incessantly threatening the Financial Capital Mumbai.
It comes as matter of concern that today, Tuesday 4 January, Mumbai has crossed over 10,000 new cases taking the tally to 10,860 in a day. In a span of 24 hours two deaths were reported.
Notably, the Bed Occupancy is 14.7 percent. With this spike in the infections the active caseload has surged to 47,476.
Meanwhile on January 3, Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal affirmed that the city may come under lockdown if the daily case count crosses 20,000.
