Mumbai : Lions Club International, founded by Sir Melvin Jones, 102 years ago is in operation all over the world.

Rahul Shah is a member of Lions Club of Jogeshwari, district no.3231,A3 and his prime purpose is to serve the poor snd needy without any expectations.

Lions Club, fundamentally, delivers service in areas infested with Hunger ,Diabetes, Vision, Environment, Cancer and also in area of education. Prior to the outbreak of Covid-19, Camps in Dharavi and other areas of Mumbai Checkup drive was conducted on over 1800 students.

Amid the lockdown crisis, Lion Birendra Yadav, has contributed PPE kits, Sanitizer in Hospital in suburbs.

Notably, many other Club Members are carrying out activities like Anna Daan Project at Gadge Dharamshala.and food is provided at Sant Gadge dharamsala every day by him.

They had also conducted lectures for organ donation at BES Sant Gadge Maharaj College , Khetwadi. Their Club IPP and ZC Lion Poonam Yadav floated project to help flood affected people in Kolhapur and Sangli.
For this project, Doctor Lion Poonam collected Rs. 61250/- and distributed 25 pressure cookers with hundred plates, spoons and bowls.

Lion Rahul is a Doctor by profession and President of Lions Club comprising 122 members. There are well-known people like Madhu Sudhan Agarwal and Lion Sunil Patodia, a famous Chartered Accountant who is also a member of Lion Club who works shoulder to shoulder.

His views on covid-19; In this critical situation, we should help the needy people.  Nand Kishore Agarwal, President of the Club Millennium , distributed food and are providing three time food for just Rs.35/- and one of the member of Lions Club Lion Saraswati Shankar has adopted village in Palghar.

The message that he wishes to convey ton people is Lions Club is a social organization. If you are willing to offer any social work, you are welcome but one thing to be remembered is that, when you do something, you should not expect anything in return and when you are working for a social organization, your intent should only be to help others.
