Mumbai: Maharashtra Tour Operators Association (MTOA), the oldest Travel Association in Maharashtra, celebrated its 50 years with a most memorable Golden Jubilee Celebration at The Club, D.N.Nagar, Andheri(W) on 7th February, 2020, amidst the attendance by the top Tour and Travel Personalities from all over the world. Important dignitaries from tourism department such as Deepika Sharma from Jammu Tourism Department, D Venkatesan Director General Tourism department , Government of India, Mushtaq Chaya chairman Jammu and Kashmir hotelier club and others were present.
While addressing all the Tour Operators, in welcome speech Mr. Prabhulal joshi President MTOA said, “I extend my warm welcome to all on behalf MTOA. As President of the MTOA, I am fortunate and privileged to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of MTOA. I extend my gratitude to all such as D Venkatesan, Dy Director, Tourism Department, Govt of India, Deepika Sharma from Jammu Tourism Department, Mushtaq Chaya President Jammu and Kashmir Hotelier Club and other dignitaries who attended this memorable moment.”
MTOA Vice President , Vishvajeet Patil(MD Raja Rani Travel) addressed to all tour operator said “It’s great moment for me MTOA has completed 50 years this organisation was founded by my father Raja Patil in 1969. This 50 years journey in travel and tourism is indeed an incredible moment for all. We have taken many initiatives to promote MTOA such as New Membership drive, Conducting seminars on various topics like Insurance policy etc. We are also Planning to launch Membership drive for Tour operator in Pune and Nasik too. We also plan to host regular sessions for Tour Operators, Seminars , GST, Income tax , and important aspects under Indian Tourism. Also have plans for an International Education Tour.”
Dhiraj Nishar, Joint Secretary ,MTOA , said , “We are doing lot of things for MTOA and very soon we will launch Membership drive across Maharashtra and will create City based Chapter of MTOA in Pune, Nasik and other parts of Maharashtra. And for educating our Members we will organise Seminar, Networking meet and many things.
Venkatesan, Dy Director, Tourism Department, Govt of India was also one of the chief guest in the function addressed to all tour operators, “MTOA is the first organisation who visited my office and greeted me after taking the charge. MTOA is a very reputed and old organisation I congratulate them for completing 50 years, Am sure will do the best. India is a holistic destination. We are trying to reach out all over India. Outlook of tourism is good. Will try to explore new destination. From this forum I ensure all my support to the Western and Central Region.
Deepika Sharma from Jammu Tourism said, “Tourism is a very important Sector of our country and plays a very important role in our life. It is a blend of Culture and your support in sending tourists to Jammu & Kashmir is needed. My tourism department is with you. Tourism is a cultural exchange, growth and value in our life.
Jammu and Kashmir Hotelier Club President, Mushtaq Chaya said, “Jammu and Kashmir has always played a very important role in the tourism sector. My Hearty Congratulations to MTOA for having completed its 50 years. Today Kashmir needs your support. Hence it is my personal request to all to visit Kashmir and to promote Jammu and Kashmir Tourism. MTOA has always extended their support to us while we were reeling through crisis since the last four years. It’s for sure that the situation has changed and there will be a good improvement in tourism and this New Year is good and bright for all of us. Kashmir is safe, you are our guest, so please visit Jammu & Kashmir.
Sudhir Patil former MTOA President, in his speech said “MTOA has completed 50 years. This MTOA was founded by Raja Patil in 1969. Now we have more than 100 members in this organisation and we need to increase our members. Time has come to do hard work- domestic tourism has a very bright future- we will all work together and grow together. I also appeal all to promote Maharashtra Tourism and Konkan region. I am also thankful to all who came from Rajasthan, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir. In a very short notice they have attended our Golden jubilee celebration”.
