The SRA Scam is emerging as talk of the town. Former Mayor Kishori Pednekar is headlines of her possible involvement in the scam.On Tuesday she made her second appearance in a span of ten days before the Dadar Police Station and was questioned for two and a half hours. On last Friday when she visited the Police Station, the Senior PI of Dadar police station was on leave.
Notably, Dadar Police have registered a case of cheating against two BMC officers, Sanjay Lokhande and Sanjay Kamble, along with a tout, Chandrakant Chavan in the scam.
The trio have been accused of duping eight to nine people of Rs 1.03 crore under the pretext of availing SRA flats at cheaper rates. Reports comes to light that Pednekar and the accused shared Whatsapp chats. Pednekar’s name cropped up amid the interrogation of an accused in the case, which is being probed by Dadar Police after it was registered in June.
She also said that she told the police personnel she would be busy for the next three days, but ensured she would most certainly come and why should she be afraid when she has not done anything nothing wrong. In the end she also told the media she will meet CM Eknath Shinde and depotive Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, being an old Shiv-Sainiks.
