Mumbai BJP party Corporator Harish Bhandirge, Ward No.164 says Baba Hospital has no adequate beds to accomodate Covid-19 pandemic patients

Mumbai : Mumbai BJP Corporator Harish Bhandirge surged forward in support of the poor and needy left in dire straits amid lockdown to contain the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in his ward 164.

On the Lines of several charitable Institutions, NGos and Socio-Cultural organisations who have been coming forward to help poor and needy in the lockdown period, he too surged forward to support and help towards a noble and deserving cause.

Speaking to Hello Mumbai News Reporter Dolly Kaku, he said, at first
took steps to ensure supply of food, essential commodities, mask and sanitizers. We have distributed over 8000 masks to people to combat the novel coronavirus.

According to Harish, proper social distancing won’t ’t possibly work out on the dense slum area comprising two rooms which are very small. Its a very risky proposal.

Adding further, he said ” when he went to Baba Hospital there was no ward boy available and no proper facilities for patients. In the light of the present condition getting worse due to rapid spread covid-19, it poses a risky proposal in hospitals. Senior Citizens who are already suffering from other age-related diseases, are in very critical stage and the city still faces an acute shortage of hospital beds.

He further made it known that in some homes there is no toilet, so to relieve themselves, they need to go to open place. And there is every possibility of one contracting the contagious virus.

The message that Harish and his team wishes to give to people is “Mumbai Mahanagarpalika are not helpful and not supportive towards people.

His appeal is STAY HOME STAY SAFE. It doesn’tb matter if one doesn’t have money to afford to take a covid-19 patient to a private hospital, as of now they are not taking any more patients in the hospital.
Their appeal to the Government is that they should pay more attention to dialysis patient who are dying with tension.

Harish further affirms that in his area there were some cases of covid-19 but they all have returned after recovering. Their area is daily sanitized and party is very supportive and give guidelines through video and audio conference calls.
He also said that Police Personnel are stressed under work load. Hence the onus of responsibility of handling migrant workers should be by other officers who have less workload. Total number of cases has reached to 40 and above in his ward with the death cases counting to around 7 to 8.

In the end the message for everyone is “STAY HOME STAY SAFE SAVE LIVES”
