Mumbai: Mumbai NCP MLC Vidya Chavan accused for harassment by Daughter-in-Law – Case registered in Vile Parle Police Station

Mumbai: Mumbai NCP MLC Vidya Chavan’s daughter-in-law has registered a case at Vile Parle Police Station against Vidya and her family members for alleged harassment towards her.

They have been booked under IPC sections 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 354 (molestation), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

Story in a nutshell:

According to Vidya her son came to know that her daughter-in-law was having extra marital affair. Thereafter he mailed her the divorce papers. But my daughter-in-law refused to divorce him and demanded Rs 3 crore. We did not give her money so she did all this to defame me,” Chavan told media persons.

No arrests have been made in the case so far.
