Mumbai: Mumbai Police detain over 30 Candle Light protesters against CAA, NRC, NPR in Marine Drive

Mumbai: Mumbai Protestors against CAA, NRC and NPR had gathered at Marine Drive on February 24 for a candle light protest against the recent violence that took place in Delhi over the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA)
Reportedly, Mumbai Police detailed over 30 protestors.

As per reports, earlier, the Candlelight Vigil by the protestors was planned to be held at the Gateway of India, but relocated to Marine Drive after Mumbai police barricaded the iconic landmark and prohibited entry. According to Mumbai police no permission was granted to hold a protest or a candlelight vigil. But the protesters at Marine Drive reportedly said that they were against any form of violence and condemned the clashes between pro and anti-CAA groups in Delhi.
