Mumbai: With flesh trade racket becoming an order of the day police have been cracking down on it on tip-off.

Yet another news comes to light of police crackdown on Mansa Bar in Andheri East on tip-off. winging into action on tip-off and cracking down on it. On Sunday night, Andheri police station team raided Mansa Bar. 6 girls were found doing obscene dance. 1 manager, 1 cashier, 4 waiters and 6 customers were arrested. The police has registered the offence u/s 294,114,34 IPC and 3,8 Prohibition of Obscene Dance.

In a subsequent crackdown, the Andheri Police raided bar in Andheri where obscene dance was being performed and arrested six persons and rescued four women. The raid was conducted late Saturday night according to police.

“The bar was raided after police received a tip-off that women were made to perform obscene dance there. Ankit Goel, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone X said that they have arrested the owner of the bar, its manager, two waiters and two customers, and rescued four women.

The accused have been booked under IPC sections 294 (obscene acts or words in public) and 34 (common intention), he said.

They have also been charged under provisions of the Maharashtra Prohibition of Obscene Dance in Hotels, Restaurants and Bar Rooms and Protection of Dignity of Women (working therein) Act, Goel added.
