Mumbai: Mumbai Powai Police book Two Yemeni Nationals for cheating six Yemen War Soldiers admitted to Fortis Hospital

Mumbai: Mumbai Powai Police has registered a cheating case against two Yemeni Nationals
Fahd Radwan Al Mastari and Ali Abdulghani Ali Al Gauzi for
duping six war soldiers of their origin of Rs.2 lakhs. They were in Mumbai to receive medical treatment.

Reportedly, soldiers were undergoing treatment for injuries they sustained in the civil war in Yemen Mulund’s Fortis hospital in when the duo allegedly got in touch with them claiming to be attached to the Yemen Embassy.

The two accused demanded Rs 2 lakh from the victims ensuring them of better facilities at a hospital in Navi Mumbai and while shifting them, the duo decamped with their passports and other belongings.

After this, the soldiers approached the Yemen Consulate and a formal police complaint was lodged.

Accordingly, Senior Inspector of Police, Powai Police Station, Sudhakar Kambale registered a case against the absconding accused under sections 420 (cheating) and 406 (breach of trust) of the IPC and further probe is underway.
