Mumbai: Mr. Mukul Jain, Mumbai Social Entrepreneur, shares his experience with Hello Mumbai News Team of helping people through his NGO ‘Uplift Foundation’ amid the lockdown

Mumbai: Interacting with Hello Mumbai News, Mr. Mukul Jain
said “Our ‘Uplift Foundation’ NGo is focusing on curbing the spread of the Covid-19 pandemics.”

Some of the initiatives that we undertook hss been in distribution of  200, 000  face masks alongwith hand sanitizers in Mumbai slums like Thane,

 

Kalyan, etc. as well as 53  thousands bottles of sanitizers and face masks to Health Care and Sanitation workers. Subsequently, we also distributed food grains, pulses, flour, rice, and essentials to daily labourers and slum dwellers residing in Govandi, Mankhurd, and Kalwa. We have already allotted materials to more than five thousand families for safety of their lives.

He further added “Educating the slums dwellers on hygiene is to be maintained to keep themselves and the surroundings free from Covid-19 19. we have also provided PPE kits to medical and paramedical staff working in the frontline. We even provided 1,200 PPE kits to medical and paramedical staff in Vasai-Virar, Mira-Bhayandar, and Bhiwandi. Also supplied face masks and hand sanitizers to police personnel working tirelessly to contain the situation. We have provided six thousand face masks and three thousand sanitizers to the police personnel earlier already.”

He further made it known “we are working with eight orphanages in Mumbai to educate the inhabitants on how to maintain hygiene to keep themselves safe from the virus. We have also distributed face masks, sanitizers and made provisions of food grains and vegetables for these inhabitants.

We also launched a campaign recently known as a one million mask challenge, where we are trying to distribute one million masks to curb the spread of the virus and to keep all of safe.”
