CM Maharashtra Eknath Shinde Extends Greetings to Muslim Community
Chief Minister Shinde extended warm Eid-e-Milad greetings, emphasizing, “Eid-e-Milad is a festival of togetherness and love. Let us use this occasion to foster mutual respect, affection, and camaraderie.”
He also highlighted the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, which emphasise sacrifice and love, urging everyone to draw inspiration from them and work towards increasing mutual respect and affection.
Importance of Edi-e Milad in Islam :
Eid-e Milad, popularly known as Barah Wafat is celebrated by the Muslim Community with reverence to Prophet Muhammad on his birthday. On this occasion special prayers are held in Mosques. Islamic Scholars deliver sermons largely focussing on the life teachings and noble deeds of the prophet muhammad who introduced Islam. Procession is held and people gather in large numbers in Mosques.
