In his address to the Nation Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the Citizens of India to impose a Janata Curfew upon themselves on Sunday March 22nd. While cautioning people of the rapid spread of Coronavirus COVID-19 and to curb it, this is only possible if people congregate across common public spots, markets and other locations. For this janata curfew, Modi has asked people to stay at home from 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday. This appears to be a mock drill to get the nation ready for a possible crisis in the future in the way of spread of Coronavirus.

He also made it known that even as rumours are doing the rounds that shops may close down every alternate day, there is no need to worry all shops, groceries, provisional shops besides medical shops will remain open and there will be no closure.

PM Modi also said that social distancing is essential and people shouldn’t come in close contact with people and not to shake hands but greet people with Namaste.
