In their crackdown on Flesh Trade and acting on a tip off raided Mumbai Police on Thursday raided a Thai Spa illegally running a flesh trade under the name and style as Massage Parlour in High Street Phoenix Mall at Lower Parel.
The accused Manager Sanjay Kumar Amarnath Singh has been arrested. N.M.Joshi Marg Police reveal that Sanjay Kumar had entered into a lease agreement of the premises. . Police are now on the hunt for Sujay Sarkar, Proprietor of the Thai Spa who runs the chain of spas in the city.
While busting the flesh trade racket, the N.M.Joshi Marg Police have arrested five persons, including four customers, and rescued six Thai women from the premises. The four customers, who were booked under various sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act, were remanded to police custody till Friday.
As per SS Ghare, Metropolitan Magistrate of Mazgaon Considering the theory of exploitation of rescued victims from Thailand, arrested accused cannot be given clean chit at this stage of remand.
