MUMBAI: Police Commissioner Parambir Singh on Thursday Felicitated Traffic Constable Eknath Porte for being Patient When a Woman Assaulted him on Saturday.

Porte Was on Duty in Kalbadevi when he Questioned a Woman and her friend for not Wearing Helmet while Riding.

Sadvika Tiwari (30) and her Friend Mohsin Khan (32) Were later Arrested by LT Marg Police.

Singh invited Porte and his Family to his Office on Thursday and Rewarded him Rs10,000 and Presented a Certificate.

On Wednesday, an Assistant Commissioner had Felicitated Porte at the spot of the incident.

Brief History of the Case :

Mumbai Woman Sadvika Ramakant Tiwari arrested for assaulting traffick cop Eknath Shrirang Parte

Mumbai: Mumbai L.T.Marg Police arrested two accused for assault of Traffic cop Eknath Shrirang Parte.

As per press release issued by Mumbai Police, accused Sadvika Ramakant Tiwari, 30, and Mohsin Nizamuddin Khan 26, both were arrested under section 353, 332,504,506 and 34 IPC.

Reportedly, the assault incident occured in Kalbadevi ,South Mumbai. Both the accused were passing the signal without helmet.
When Traffic Cop Eknath Shrirang Parte intercepted them and asked them about helmet , a heated argument ensued between them which subsequently turned violent and the accused Sadvika Ramakant Tiwari started to beat up the Traffic Cop Eknath and this assault video has since gone viral.
