Mumbai: Acting on an information received by DCP, Enf team of SS branch raided Opa Bar and Cafe(7th floor) and Mitron Pub(Ground.floor) Peninsula Grand Hotel, 90 feet road, Saki Naka, Andheri (East) Mumbai.

They have arrested 196 accused (including 2 owners, 3 managers, 1 cashier, 19 workers, 171 male/female customers ) in the wee hours of Sunday, today for gross violation of lockdown guidelines.

Subsequently, a case has been registered vide CR no 1198/2020 u/s 188,285,269,336,34 IPC R/w sec. 3 Pandemic act,R/w 51(b)National Disaster Act registered at Sakinaka Police Station

The State Government has been easing restrictions, imposed to contain the spread of coronavirus, in a phased manner.

Even as the Restaurants and Bars were allowed to operate at 50 per cent seating capacity from October 5, yet in total disregard some Bars and Restaurants have been violating the guidelines of the ongoing lockdown extended till November 30.
