Mumbai: Even as the Rotarians  in the entire universe have been working tirelessly while battling with Covid-19 pandemic the Club also played a crucial role to eliminate polio disorder,

Speaking to Hello Mumbai News Raman Malik, said ” as of today the Covid-19 Pandemic is a global phenomenon and it has spread ragingly in India.

Rotary International Club, is known for their impeccable services towards the poor and needy. In its endeavor to take action to create lasting change across the globe and in our community, it has plummeted to reach out to the citizens at the core of the pyramid striving to meet their daily needs.
One of them is the Rotary Club of Chandigarh Central, says, Raman.

Raman has done yeomen service and all the projects were undertaken by him during his tenure with the Rotary Club that ended on 30th June. All these projects were undertaken during his tenure.

Needless to mention that Rotary Club has carried out various works that occured on 4th April 2020. They donated 100 liters of hand sanitizer to GMCH, Sector 32. The GMCH administration appreciated their assistance and said this was in short supply and badly required by the hospital. They expressed their gratitude to Rtn. Sarvjit Rai, who donated100 liters of hand sanitizers.

The auto spray gun (sanitizer) was presented to Municipal Corporation Chandigarh. As per MCC it was flagged off for use in the presence of the Mayor and MC Commissioner at 11:00 am on 20th April 2020. Rtn Cheema had suggested to them, to put a GPS system on the machine so that it could be monitored by anybody. They have conceded for this. And any member who desires it is most welcome.

Further, they accomplished another mission in May, when they donated 50 PPE kits to Chandigarh Police. For this, they won commendable appreciation by SSP Chandigarh for the Efforts of RCCC.

Vote of thanks was also extended to PP Rtn Harish Gupta, Pap Rtn. DS Malhotra, PP Rtn. KK Walia, PP Rtn. RS Cheema and VP Rtn including Anil Sharma for their presence.
Likewise special thanks was also conveyed to Sharma Ji for the arrangement of very good quality PPE kits at a very competitive price. Even SSP Mrs.Nilambari Jagadale was duly appreciat for the quality of the kits provided.

Rotary Club, while living up to their selfless aid donated 50 PPE kits to the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation. The kits were supplied to Raj Bala Malik, Mayor, and KK Yadav, the commissioner, on the presence of Rotarians Pradeep Chopra, RS Cheema, and Harish Gupta.

Similarly, on 8th June 2020 Rotarians of sector 21 donated one Sanitary Napkin vending machine to GMSSS. All over India almost 40crore rupees went to the PM Care Fund, as it was their goal to donate on a personal level in a particular state.

Earlier in 2019, under his tenure as a President, a Blood Donation Camp, aligned with a 15-day-long celebration of the 40th anniversary of Chandigarh Press Club, was held at the Club premises. The event was organised in coalition with the Department of Blood Transfusion, PGI, and Rotary Club, Chandigarh Central. Total 51 members donated blood on the occasion. The organisers felicitated donors with gifts and certificates.
