After the cases dropped, now the
Coronavirus infections is drastically surging in Mumbai as it records highest peak since pandemic outbreak as 8,646 test positive.

However, until just last month, there had been a dramatic drop in cases in Mumbai. This sudden change has confounded public health officials who are now investigating why did cases drop, and why are they surging now?

With this, total count of positive cases went up to 4,23,360. The city reported 18 COVID-19 deaths, taking the total fatalities to 11,704.
