Rotary Update :

Rotary Club Chandivali Mumbai organised a blood donation drive with Samarpan Blood bank based in Sarvodya hospital Ghatkopar on 29 th August from 10:00 am to 3 :00 pm at Lake home Chandivali .A well equipped 7 recliner chair ,van donated by Rotary International ; which had all the ingredients of a comprehensive camp (inclusive of a registration desk and a television set to provide an at ease scenario )on wheels was used for the occasion.
Focus point of the blood bank is giving blood to 130 thalessamic children .
RCCM supported this cause and the stage was set on this Saturday morning at the plush Lake home club house,which was used for registration and after care of donors .
Sanitization procedures were in place overlooked by Project incharge WgCdr Singla.
Refreshments and light snacks were provided to the donors .
While donor cards were provided by the blood bank, RCCM gave
Certificates to each donor thereby honouring those who voluntarily came in for this noble cause.
Collection of negative blood group, a rarity ,was another salient feature of the blood donation drive .

Secretary Nutan Bhalla Project Head Wg Cdr Singla ,Stalwart Project Care Tonmoy Gope Ashish Goyal ,Sanjay Rohida Kunal Kaushal ,Amul Mutha Meena Bhasin, Naresh Bhasin ,Kiran Emami .Vijay Mallu and distant blessings of “We Care” from Gaurang Chandarana Captain Sanjiv Bhalla ,Meena Kakkad Roy Vadakan ,Swati Dakonia ,Kumkum Mehrotra and Divya Mishra all contributed to make the event a great success.

Families of RCCM also extended their full support to the event and the enthusiasm of Dr Gopal Rai needs special mention as with his infectious smile, he gave the whole sombre affair a special warmth for all to cherish and remember for years ahead.
Under the guidance of Medical Avenue 3141 Rotarian Pankaj Tanna ,who saw the project to the end and support of Rotractor Suraj Mishra (joint community service director )who brought in the support of Rotractors of Singhad College. the event was a great success in Covid times with 69 successful donors .
