Relief work for flood affected people in Mithi Khadi, Surat.

Surat:  Juned Yunus Orawala, Social Worker, President, Late Yunus Latif Orawala Trust speaks of his team’s charitable activities in amid COVID pandemic to Hello Mumbai News Correspondent Radhika Joshi 

Juned Yunus Orawala, has been certified by various ways, The World People’s Forum TWPF at BTYA as a Peace Ambassador, Dynamic Peace Rescue Mission International. He was also associated with National Human Rights and Humanitarian Federation, Directorate of peacekeeping/ Chaplaincy Dynamic Peace Rescue Mission International. Subsequently, he also served as Vice-President of Surat in the Crime and Corruption control Association.

Junaid Yunus Orawala said,
they have done creditable great work by providing ration kits to the people in need, viz: food grains, oil, and total home stuff. With the help of another trust, distributed food to needy ones as he believes it all happened by the will of Almighty God.

Further, on a day-to-basis, they served around 40,000 people, we by reaching their door step. Those in need of nedical help were taken care of through Mahavir and other Hospitals. Since the last 14 years, he has been running a medical camp for Eye checkups and others.

Moreover, also organises functions like, group wedding and various other things.

Apart from this, in the wake of heavy rains in Surat, the small roofs were in a damaged shape and hence, with the help of a boat the provided food packets, water as children were in much need besides others too. They have tried their best to procure food and also provided 300 food kits and in the forthcoming Monday, will give similar 300 kits comprising vegetable pulao, biryani, and others. They don’t believe in caste barriers, but render assistance to one and all. For them caste or religion is “Humanity”. They had also held blood donation camp.

Likewise, they have provided almost 50, 000 Note Books to the underprivileged children in the age group between 12 to 15 years of age.

He has even worked as a social worker since 1994. One of his partners in this work Jayhind Kumar Agarwal from Jaipur Sikar are joint members in his trust and both are together since 30 years and more as brothers.
