Mumbai witnessed a wet Sunday evening with sudden showers accompanied by light thunder and lightening.

On the other hand, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Sunday morning notified of light to moderate rainfall with possibility of thundershowers in the city and its suburbs.

The IMD in its bulletin has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and isolated places till September 15. An orange alert has been issued for Ratnagiri and Raigad areas.

In its further bulletin, IMD has predicted of likely thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) at isolated places in Mumbai.
