As a protest against CAA and NRC Bharat Bandh called on January 29 following Supreme Court’s refusal to grant any stay on the CAA and NRC without hearing from the center to the issue.

In Mumbai’s suburb Dongri, Byculla, Andheri and Kurla some shops remaind shut particularly in the Muslim dominated areas.

There was a rail roko witnessed in Kanjur Marg and CSMT. Otherwise there is luke-worm response to the Bandh. Vehicles are playing as usual. Local trains on the western suburbs are running normally and shops malls and restaurants are functioning as usual.
