Mumbai Traffic Police issues diversions for movement of commuters due to Muharram Procession on 8 and 9 August

On account of Muharram procession on August 8 and 9, 2022, the Mumbai Traffic Police has scheduled diversions on several routes for the commuters with an advice to to avoid the restricted routes and take the alternative routes amid the Muharram Procession.

Similarly movement of vehicular North bound will be at slow pace owing to the procession.

Commuters are requested to kindly take P D’Mello Road. : Processions will comnence from 7 pm to 1:30 pm on August 8 & 9, 2022. North bound traffic will be diverted from Chakala Junction, Gol deul Temple Duncan Road, Nagpada Junction Khadaparsi to Byculla Railway Bridge.

The procession of Shab-A-Shahdat commences from Honda Corner at 4 PM and will move towards Nesbit Junction, JJ Road North Channel and terminate at Sir JJ Marg South Channel, Sir JJ Junction, IR Road Pakmodia Street Zainbia Hall.

On the same day 60 feet road, 90 feet road, Dharavi, Mahim Sion Link Road, Sant Rohidas Marg, Mahim will be closed for vehicular movement between 3 pm to 12 am due to the procession for Muharram procession 2022. People are advised not to move on such closed roads but use the diversion.
